About the Performers Laura Jeppesen earned a Master's degree in early music from Yale University. As a Fulbright Scholar, she studied the viola da gamba in Hamburg, and, as a recipient of Belgian government grants, with Wieland Kuijken in Brussels. She has performed throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, and Japan with several leading early music ensembles, including The Boston Museum Trio, Sequentia, and the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century. She serves on the faculties of Wellesley College and The New England Conservatory. In 1981, she was named a fellow to the Mary Ingraham Bunting Institute of Radcliffe College enabling her to produce this recording. Jane Hershey studied at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge and The Hague Conservatory. Her studies in Holland were with Sigiswald Kuijken, Frans Brueggen, and Wieland Kuijken. She is currently a member of the Boston Viol Consort and performs regularly with The Arcadian Players. She teaches at the Longy School of Music and the Powers Music School. |
