About the Performer Canadian virtuoso Ian Hominick is recognized for the lyrical romantic interpretations he brings to the classical repertoire. A native of Nova Scotia, Mr. Hominick's talent was recognized with numerous awards which allowed him to pursue piano studies in the United States with Earl Wild and Jerome Rose. Mr. Hominick earned his doctorate in piano performance from Ohio State University, where he was assistant to both Earl Wild and André Laplante. He has taught on the faculties of Otterbein College, the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, and the University of Newfoundland, and currently teaches at De Paul University in Chicago. |
